Milo

When it comes to spices, there is only one place to go on St. Martin: the Dominican Marian, affectionately called “Milo” by everyone, and her spice shop “Spicymilo” in Marigot. She has been advising both locals and tourists on seasoning and taste for more than 20 years. She puts together her spice mixtures herself and likes to be inspired by other Caribbean islands, but gives everything the typical St. Martin taste.

Milo not only let us immerse ourselves in the spice world of the Caribbean, but also invited us to her home, where we were allowed to cook “Callaloo Soup” with her and her husband. A traditional soup that is served in St. Martin, especially on public holidays.

Thalia

Thalia practically has the good taste of St. Martin in her blood. She was born and raised on the island and runs several restaurants there with her family. Among other things, there were also typical island mini-restaurants, the so-called “Lolos” (short for “local food for locals”), where we were able to sample the entire street food cuisine of St. Martin. A taste experience that resonates with everyone to this day. We were able to take a look behind the scenes at one of the family restaurants, Délices Créoles. Thalia gave us her very personal recipe for “Shrimp Creole”.

Amaury & Dimitri

Since 1994, Amaury and Dimitri have run the restaurant “Bistrot Caraïbes” in Grand Case – the best restaurant on St. Martin according to leading rating portals. No wonder, with the dream team! With their sophisticated French cuisine, they contribute significantly to the food culture on St. Martin and enchant the palates of all gourmets. We were particularly impressed by the house specialty: freshly caught, grilled lobsters served with the traditional Caribbean “Sauce Chien”.

Maho Beach

Hardly any airport runway is as famous as that of Princess Juliana International Airport on St. Martin. Huge planes take off and land here just 20 meters above the heads of beach visitors. For us an absolutely spectacular experience and a must-do when you are on the island!

By the way: Our partner Air France takes off from 8 German airports several times a day to its hub Paris-Charles de Gaulle and from there daily non-stop to St. Martin with an Airbus A330-200.

Peak Paradise

At 424 m, Pic Paradis is the highest point on St. Martin. After a 20-minute walk from the parking lot, you will be rewarded with a sensational view over the entire island. Pure feeling of freedom!

East Bay

Orient Beach, which is also the largest beach on the French side of St. Martin, offers everything you need for a perfect day on vacation: crystal clear water, white sand and a large selection of great beach bars. Here we recharged our batteries after a long day of filming!
