Lemongrass spice

Do you associate lemongrass with more than anti-mosquito candles and aroma lamp oil? Then it should Asian spice definitely not missing from your collection. Botanically speaking, lemongrass belongs to the grass family and has very little to do with the sour fruit. An essential part of Asian cuisine, lemongrass is the counterpart to our local parsley. Lemongrass refines curries, soups but also salads and drinks. The white tuber can be eaten chopped into small pieces, while the green stalks are flattened beforehand, cooked and removed before eating. The taste of Asia is not far away!
